Bottle. Pours clear dark ruby with stable light beige head. Tacky, Christmaslike aroma of gingerbread spice and caramel malt. Sweetish flavour of malt and caramel with more or less a pound of cinnamon. Alcohol feels like more than the ABV on the label. Sweet finish. Liquid Christmas cake. Disappointing.

Clear, dark copper. Light tan head. Aroma of christmas spice: cloves, all spice. Spices dominate taste as well, cinnamon appears in finish. Quite sweet, low carb.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with aibundant, airy and stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, yeast and some fruity notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish touches of dusty malt and yeast, ending rather rough. Rather thin body. Uninspiring, rather chalky aftertaste. Below average.

Bottle, 4.9%. Bready and lagery aroma, hint of wort. Clear golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is very bready with some old grain notes. Imagine eating a handful of old, unmalted barley.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of grain and hops, with notes of yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with estery notes and touches of grass. Bittersweet aftertaste. OK but not mind-blowing.

Thanks to kevnik2008 for this beer. Lecker-mild, weich. Feinherb.

50cl Bottle brought from Poland, thanks Coen! Almost black colour, creamy beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, very malty, pumpernickel, figs, raisins, brown sugar, burnt caramel, tiny hint of coffee. Flavour is sweet, fruity, figs, raisins, caramel, coffee, alcohol, bittersweet finish. Medium-bodied. Great example of a Baltic Porter, albeit rather sweet.

Bottle. Black colour, quickly disappearing light brown head. Very intensive coffee aroma, not much apart from it. Light bitterness. Medium body. I don’t like coffee, so it was not a pleasant experience.

Bottle. A clear, dark reddish brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick light beige head. Lots of wort on the nose, sugary, with some dried fruits and a faint roasted touch. Quite sticky on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Thin to medium body. Sweet, wort-like flavor with prunes and some chocolate hints. Blue grapes. Lasting sweet finish with some nice flavors as well. But overall, too sticky sweet and cloying. 140322

Flasche von Ministerstwo Browaru, Posen. - Goldbraun. - Malzig-nussiger Antrunk mit Karamel. Süß. Röstmalzig-bitterer Abgang ohne Hopfenaromen. Immer noch süßer, zugleich dumpf-bitterer Nachtrunk. - Unangenehmes Zeug. Für ein Märzen (wie Marcowe zu übersetzen wäre) zu dick und zu bitter, für einen Bock (was es mit 7,2 % eigentlich ist) zwar sortentypisch aber keineswegs gut. (Test: April 2013)
