Tap. Rather clear amber color with nice creamy white head. Aroma is nutty, earthy, herbal, caramel. Taste is nutty, slightly oxidized, caramel, toffee, again slightly oxidized. Oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Nice one, it dares to use some oxidization in a Märzen, and it works!

*Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. Smooth but somehow alcoholic start. The Tequila is there, hints of wood, the body is grainy with roasted parts, moderate sweetish. Here again the barrel helps to create a pleasant aroma, round and malty, wood and (a bit alcoholic) Tequila in the back. Nice.

Tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Cloudy dark golden color, off-white irregular foam. Nose is bready malty, baked crust, cookies. Mouth: sweet malty, mild honey, a bit empty although tasty.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is wet grain, bready, a bit metallic, some grassiness. Taste is wet grain, grassy, a bit buttery, fruity, crackery. Soft creamy mouthfeel with natural carbonation. A very likeable Zwickl!

Pours a clear yellow color. Slightly sweet and bready malty aroma with a shy touch of biscuits and grains.
