Bottle at Joe's. Pours deep reddish, nose is funk, cherry, grape, oak, taste is tart, juicy cheery, fruity, funk.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - huge gusher. The beer was later recalled by the brewer. Bright copper with a big pinkish head. Nose - cherry, wood, leather, prunes and vanilla. Taste - cherry wood, redcurrants, light bubble gum, raisin and woody tannins. Palate - medium bodied, some sweetness and wood tannins. Overall - shame it was a gusher as it's' a lovely beer.

- pours a hazed dark amber with a off white head. Sweet and light toasted malty with lots of sweet toffee and caramel notes, dried fruit shred, brown sugar, medium to full bodied, whisky kissed wooden accents coalesce into the sweet lingering malty close. Great BW.

Can from Appellation Wines. Total gusher. Pours clear red-tinged brown with rocky off-white head. Aromas of cherry, light chocolate and leather. Taste is more of the same. Whisky notes at the back.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks zvikar. Black. Chili, a bit green, dates, some wood, faint infection hint, chocolate, sweet and somewhat spicy, some alcohol.

375ml bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear rich yellowy gold with a decent frothy white head. The aroma is funk action, brett, oak, damp grass, wet hay, haylage, apple skin, sharp lemon, sherbet, sour white grape, dull vanilla and sour candy. The taste is firmly dry, tart, oak, earthy, funky, must, splash of white wine vinegar, nip of lemon, sherbet, white grape skin, apple skin, door plooms, damp mouldy basement, salt & vinegar crisps, spice, vinous and a kick of booze with a drying, oaky tannin finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting and quaffable. Fun stuff, but it has a certain harshness to it.

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cherry, cranberry and biscuit. Flavour of tart berries and tea. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Sharp and unusual. Itβs quite interesting but, for me, it lacks the depth of my favourite Doppelbocks.
