(bottle, purchased at the brewery) Hazy, orange colour with a fluffy, slightly off-white foamy head. Moderately yeasty and wheaty nose with fruity accents of banana, pears and a slightly medicinal phenolic note. Sweet and minimal acidic flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Yeasty. moderately wheaty and fruity taste with phenolic notes getting stronger towards the sweet and yeasty bitter finish.

(bottle) Clear, light golden colour with a loose medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly sweet and slightly perfumed malty nose with a touch of citrus and hay. Initially bitter flavour, herbal, slightly grassy taste; light bodied, almost crispy mouthfeel, soft grainy, sweet-bitter finish with metallic hops and a herbal and tart aftertaste. Not the worst of all the worlds Schankbiers.

Bottle. Clear, pale golden body, topped by a white head. Strange, fruity nose, with some citrus. The flavor is citrusy and fruity as well, unfortunately followed by some cooked vegetables. Thin body. Sweetish, fruity finish with hay, grain and some bitterness. Strange one. (070809)

Bottle: Clear, greenish-golden coloured with a smaller loose white head, that slowly diminishes, grainy sweet-malty nose with bittering hops; very solid bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, a bit fizzy; lingering bitter-malty/grainy finish with a metallic tinge in the very end. Quite well made, but a bit unharmonic......

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden to light amber coloured, creamy, slowly diminishing and lacing white head, sweetish, honeyish and malty nose with minor traces of smoke in the background - especially detectable when the Bier gets warmer -, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; robust bitter-sweet finish with a mild, but distinctive touch of hops. A weel crafted, "light" Rauchbier.........

50 cL bottle. Pours yellow clear with a little white lacing head. Slight grainy and citric aroma. Flavour is the same and dry. Smooth mouthfeel. Dry and malty, slight watery finish.

Re-rated February 2024. Clear deep golden body under a big white head. Aroma has malt, biscuit and hint of wood. Taste is quite sweet for a lager, malt, bread and hint of toffee with a floral touch and moderate bitterness. Fine body, same, sweet malty aftertaste. Decent, feels a bit old fashioned. Previous rating from 2007: 500 ml bottle. Clear, pale, golden body with a big white head. Aroma is malt, grain, hop and some caramel. The flavor is fresh and clean, malty, some acidity and bitter. Refreshing and forgotten.

Hazy blond color. The aroma is soft, amlty. The mouthfeel is very soft, with some residual sweetness, maybe too much hay flavor, and a very light touch of lemon. Balanced.
