Bottle, 4.7%. OK grainy aroma. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is chalky, quite mild. Low bitterness. Clean, but not entirely crispy.

500 ml bottle. Very pale, golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of weak grain and perfume. Flavor is weak malty, boiled asparagus and a tiny hint of hops. Plain, watery body, short finish - not a pleasant experience.

Draught @brewpub, as Edel-Pils
Straw colour and sparkly. Thick bleached head that falls down. Rich herbal hoppy aroma with no shortage of backing breadcrust. Well-balanced with herbal hop, moderate bitterness, light pale malts and some supporting diacetyl. This messes up the mouthfeel, however, introducing undue slickness that takes away from the herbal bitter character and the cleanliness of the pale malts.

Tan-bronze colour. Cloudy. Light fruity hop nose with clean banana. Quite banana-accented, fairly sugary but gains wheaty tartness towards the finish. there’s some footy funk late as well, detracting from the overall presentation.

Ceramic mug. The aroma is earthy, hoppy. Richly hopped, dry, woody character with a subtle malt and mineral base. Very dry, very tasty. One of the hoppiest Franconian country lagers.
