bottle, Danke nach Bochum! Clear dark brown colour, small beige head. Complex flavours, including raisins, plums, plums, berries, caramel, toffee fudge and chocolate. Full-bodied, very intensive with the alcohol well hidden. Smooth palate. A delicious Doppelbock.

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a ruby shine and a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet and robust dark malty aroma with caramel and a touch of liquorice and raisins. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth and well-matured mouthfeel. Bready and crusty toast-malty base with caramel (Bavarian malt-bonbons) and even a touch of herbal hops in the background; balanced sweet-bitter finish with a light but present hops character. A very good Doppelbock, not too sweet nor sticky. 31.X.07

Bottle, as Prösslbräu Adlersberg Bayerisch Dunkel, shared by fonefan. It’s a slightly hazy, amber beer topped by a beige head. Bready nose with a good dash of caramel. The flavor is pretty much the same, bread and caramel, with some bitterness. Medium to full body, dry. Bready finish with some bitterness. Maybe a bit too bready overall, making the beer seem unbalanced. A decent one though. 090821

Bottle, shared by fonefan. It’s a an almost clear, yellow beer with a small, white head. Diacetyl, fruits and caramel on the nose, quite decent. The flavor has butterscotch, fruityness and some bittering hops, but rather boring. Medium body, quite dry. Bitter, malty sweet finish. There’s too much butterscotch in this one, but not in a very disturbing way. A decent beer. 090821

Bottle, 4.7%. Clear dark brown colour. The flavour starts off nicely roasted. Turns a little sourish in the finish, and has a little stable to it.

Bottle, 4.8%. Mild buttery aroma, a little like popcorn. Hazy yellow colour. The flavour also has a little butter, but no more than is pleasant enough. Low bitterness. Hint of citrus.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Comes as "Prösslbräu Adlersberg Bayerisch Dunkel". Pours a clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Sweetish roasted malt and a little ashes in the nose. Medium body, roasted malt and pumpernickel with a lightly bitter finish. Nice one. 210809
