On draught at the pub. Wheaty cerealy toffee aroma adn flavour, bit of toast, some zingy hop on finish. Toffee. Decent cereal flavour dominated lager. 3.1 re rate at Greifenklau. more bitter more darker malts. biscuit. good.

Tap at the Brauhaus beer garden - 28/04/12. Cloudy orange with a small white head. Wheat and banana on the nose. Wheat, banana, clove all present in the taste a little sweet than other beers of this style but tempered with a little citrus in the finish. Medium carbonation and a good enough hefeweizen.

Bottle from brewery. Hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma of wheat, light banana, yest. Taste, orange, lemon, yeast wheat. Fruity bittersweet finish. Nice.

On tap at Greifenklau, Bamberg. Cloudy orange coloured, small to medium sized white head, mild fruity spicy nose. Light fruity, mild wheaty and banana with notes of caramel and cloves in the finish. Pleasant weizen.

Bottled 500ml. -from minibar in my hotel room right next to Greifenklau Brauerei. Golden coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, grainy nose. Moderate sweet malty, grainy and soft peppery with pronounced hoppy finish. Very nice beer. 4.8%

Draught from Brauereigasthof Greifenklau.Light unclear medium golden amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, dusty, moderate hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, malty, hoppy, straw. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20110722]
