Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.
We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!
Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!
Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

The beer is pale orange and hazy, though not opaque like its big brother. Solid white head. Plenty of lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. Big on lime and mango. Guava, tangerine, pine. Juicy but definitely milder than the Dankness. Taste is dry and moderately bitter. It doesn’t quite have the same wonderful mineral note as Dankness but there’s still plenty of hop flavor. Lots of tropical fruit. Lingering guava and lime aftertaste. A little harsh at first but it finishes very smooth for such a dry, hoppy beer. Tasty pale ale.

The beer is a pale golden yellow. Moderately hazy. Good-sized, fizzy white head. Fades after a bit. Some lacing. The aroma is huge on pineapple with tangerine, mango and pine, as well. Fruity and juicy. A little bit of a honey-ish, floral tone. Mild crackery pale malt background. Hoppy, fruity taste. Moderate to medium bitterness. Gentle sweetness from the malt. Just so much wonderful hop flavor. It’s bursting with tropical fruit. Light to medium-light body. Some nice hop oiliness. Lingering hoppy aftertaste. Very solid IPA.

The beer is pale, a bright yellow gold color with a fair bit of haze. The head is white and thick. Lots of lacing. Really, really nice aroma. It’s juicy and full of hop flavor. Huge tangerine sweetness. Big on pineapple with a danker piney twist. A little bit of lime peel, mild peach, blackberries, honeysuckle. It’s bright and fresh. Mild, fresh pale malt background. The taste is moderately bitter, dry and packs plenty of hoppiness. Gentle malt sweetness holding up the hops. Lots of hop fruitiness. Very easy to drink. Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Some hop oiliness. Hard to put down. This is an excellent pale ale and shows off Cellarmaker’s expertise in making light, hoppy beer.

The beer is a medium yellow, sorta tan-ish. A bit hazy. Medium white head. Fine bubbles, a little lacing. The aroma is fresh and bright. Gentle but complex hoppiness. Sweet lemon, tangerine, grape, pine, peach. Lots of good stuff. Clean, fresh malt character. Taste is lightly bitter. Again, fresh and clean. Extremely refreshing. Mild pilsner malt note. Yeasty finish. Light feel with a touch of hop oiliness. A nice light hoppy beer.

The beer is a pale amber gold. White head. Pretty clear. The aroma is pine, citrus and a big floral note. Mild caramel malt character. Taste has moderate bitterness. A little more malt than expected. Fairly dry. Lots of hop flavor. Not quite as bright and fruity as their normal profile. More of peach, pine, grapefruit mix. Still quite good. Light-medium body. Normal carbonation. Solid beer but I’m not sure I love Comet hops as much as some varieties.

The beer is coffee black in color. Looks pretty clear. The head is a brownish beige. Lots of lacing, good retention, blah. The aroma is clean, lightly sweet caramel malt. There’s a gentle hop presence of sweet fruit. Knowing it’s Hull Melon going in, I can pick up on the melon but it’s a subtle flavor. Works quite well with the malt. Little to no roast character. Maybe a little chocolate. The taste starts with some caramel malt sweetness. I think there’s a little roast but it’s light. Very mild bitterness. Finishes a bit drier but still has a pleasant malt sweetness. The malt is rich and nice. Some nuttiness. Light feel. Solid beer.

The beer is pale yellow and moderately cloudy. Big white head. The aroma is big on sweet tropical fruit. Pineapple, mango, grape. Cracker pale malt character. It’s a little on the mild side, but that’s not really bad. Taste is dry, light and full of hops. Mild bitterness. Lots of tropical fruit. Very mild malt. The finish dries out quite a bit. Light mouthfeel. Very easy to drink. Good stuff.
