Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Taster showing hazy deep gold with 2 fingers of clean white foam.

The nose shows intense notes of pineapple, guava, and cannabis.

The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Guava forward with notes of unripe tart pineapple and barely any bitterness. More tropical pineapple notes on the finish.

Draught at Ale Arsenal. Pours hazy light yellow with moderately large white head that fades to a dusting over the top and has massive patterns coating the glass. Both aroma and flavor show intense sauv blanc notes and grape rind. A bit of pungency on the back half of the palate. Moderate dry finish leads to a bit of a puckering finish, that works well with the grape aspects. Reall nice.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated April 17, 2023. Aroma is hop forward with lots of gooseberry, berry, passion fruit, mango and tropical citrus. Light dank, oily resin notes. Light grain notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a moderately hazy, pale, yellow straw color with a medium sized, fairly thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Medium light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Quite a bit of gooseberry, berry, passion fruit and tropical citrus with lighter notes of mango and dank, oily resin. Mouthfeel is medium to medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid, hop-forward, pale ale. Lots of gooseberry notes in aroma and flavor with other balanced hop notes and a touch of dank, oily resin. Light malt notes and a bit of a lighter body with hints of alcohol. Moderately strong bitterness.
