Description
Fonta Flora Brewery integrates the soul of agriculture with the artisanship of zymurgy to create a menagerie of rustic and savory libations. With an emphasis on seasonal flora, Fonta Flora brings English tradition and Belgian inspiration to the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina.
Fonta Flora utilizes local artists to help conceptualize the notion that fermentation is yet another medium for creating art. This uniquely artisan approach to beer yields a sustainable product filled with culture from our very own community.

Pricey single from Appalachian. Seems like a running joke. I think the born on is 4/06/25 but it's cut off. Fonta blames their old print machine. Brought this across the state for a tasting & we never got to it. Sat it back down in the fridge for another couple weeks.
Pint glass at home.
Dusty brown ale with a tall, lightly tan head.
Smells of sour, sharp berries, earthy malt, wheat leaf drop.
Bittersharp & tart upfront, sharp raspberries, long & decadent peanut butter powder, hint of chocolate malt, no oil. Real fruit. After a bit, the peanut washes off & you can taste some red berries in your cheeks, but it isn't in your face obvious raspberry. Off-sweet. Lingering tartness & mellow earthy bitterness.
Thin body, medium high carb, medium high acid, slightly milky & dusty.
Kinda good. Maybe a touch too acidy.

Cloudy pale yellow with small head. Lime, pineapple, orange, biscuit malt, and earthy grapefruit peel aroma. Very sweet lime, pineapple, orange, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. A bit too sweet.

Can. Beer Stop. Beautiful artwork on the can (different to the pic). Hazed yellow. Slim tight white foam. Malt and piny lemon hops. Easy drinking. Some bitterness.
Site was down so the rate is shitter than normal.

5 week old pint can
A: Lightly hazed rich gold with very little head or lace.
S: Zesty, pithy orange or tangerine citrus and faint toast.
T: Bitter and citrusy with tart orange zest and pulp out front. Crisp toast joins the juicy citrus at the end.
M: Medium light body, low to average carbonation and a clean dry finish.
O: Not much on look or smell but great juicy citrus flavor.

Fresh four pack picked up on my way to Chapel Hill for an old man's tasting.
Clear, pale honey gold, dirty head.
Nose is honey nut Cheerios, sweet pine & muted citrus rind.
Melded candied citrus, menthol, lots of Cheerios. Lingering dry pine. Nothing really punches.
Super thin, bright, sorta low carb, low acid, easy abv.
A little boring but sloshable.
