Medium brown with ruby highlights. Roasted malts, rich chocolate, lots of citrus hop notes, too. Medium bodied. Finish is long on the hops. Nice throughout.

Draft pour pint at Bob’s, Wenatchee. A near black pour, cola like, with an active fizz head. Big roasted malt aroma. Flavor is just barely sweet, caramel, bready, roasted malt linger. Chocolate reminder as well. Creamy. Pretty good overall.

Tap. Dark brown color with tan ring. Aroma is dark malts, chalk and cherry. Taste is cherry, wood, tart, chalky. Sour and mineralic finish. Is this intended? Sour Alt is okay, but doesn’t really fit.

Sweet esters, candy, tea malts. I can do it but it needs a bit more work. Berko obviously could not stand it.

On tap at Dru Bru, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out tons of booze upfront, followed by perfume, dark fruits and caramel. Flavour is extremely messy and harsh, with lots of perfumey notes, alcohol and stone fruits. Messy and all over the place. Not good at all.

On tap at Dru Bru, pours a clear yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp crackery malt and some grassy notes. Flavour is big on the grassy hops with a crisp crackery malt finish. Nicely constructed and pretty true to style. Very good.

On tap at Dru Bru, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry dark fruits, bready notes and dry cocoa. Flavour is pretty rich, with lots of toasted caramel and sweet dark fruits, but finishes with a nice dryness. Very good.

On tap at Dru Bru, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, some light dark fruits and bready notes. Flavour is more robust than the regular Alt, with toasted caramel, bready malt and some dark fruits. Nicely balanced and pretty aggressively carbonated. Solid.
