Sample at SBWF 2015. A bit hazy golden with a white head. Relaxed and easy to drink with hops, grass, hints of honey and some bread. Medium bitter and with a fairly light mouthfeel.

Nice, rich copper coloured body with a thinnish cream head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of deep piney and tropical fruit hops with a big malt backbone and noticeable alcohol. Full-bodied; Very deep and assertive malt with some metal showing through and a very acidic quality then turning a bit citrusey with some light sweetness, but not much complexity at all with this one. Aftertaste is relatively simple with the pine, malt and alcohol the only thing really noticeable, and none of them shine through in any great way. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA at best - some citrus and pine around the edges, but relatively simple and uninspired, but nice to have in a can. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec’s in Dallas, Texas on 01-September-2015 for US$2,83 sampled at home in Washington on 25-September-2015. My can displays 8,5% abv, not the aforementioned 9,3%.

Can 12fl.oz. [ As Deep Ellum Dreamcrusher Double IPA ].ABV: 8.5%. Clear medium to dark orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, dried fruit, orange - citrus, licorice hop notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, orange, dried fruit, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150620]

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, light roasted, light to moderate hoppy - yeasty, flowers, perfume, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, yeast, dark malt, dark fruit - plum. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Draft at Craft Pride, Light copper color, lasting head retention. Aroma is floral, with a hefty amount of pine.
The body is light and crisp with a dryness that ends clean. Wow! I just had a Imperial IPA that was not nearly clean and hoppy. Two flavors done well, pine and floral. Very nicely drinkable. Dark brown color, almost black, with small beige head. The aroma has some fruity esters, typical of American Quads, but also some timid caramel, not bad. Smooth, good body strength, maybe a bit too much alcohol evidence, with dark caramel flavor and low bitterness.

Hazy light amber color with compact head. Nice hoppy aroma, some cereals. The body is lean for the style, and it has a light suspicious sourness. Simple flavor of malt and hops, not specifically interesting.

Hazy deep blond color with compact head. Nice aroma of cereals and hops. Very mild flavor of cereals, not much hops either, correct bitterness.
