Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, light sweetness. Pine. Orange oils and a little orange peel. A biting bitterness on the back end. Finishes with the same strong bitterness getting tangy. Jesus this is a bitter IPA, bit too aggressive.

500ml bottle [delivered by my main Mild provider Grumbo - thanks!]. Quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Slightly chocolately dark malty and minimally musty aroma, a touch of silage and moss, a touch of liquorice, roasted nuts; the musty touch becomes reinterpreted as minimally smoky and peaty after the first sip. Taste is slightly dry, roasty, minimally smoky and peaty, dark malty, minimally nutty, diluted hints of cocoa, cola, coal. Minimally watery texture, minimally sticky palate. Multifaceted, oscillating, quite interesting - but a bit weird as well.

Almost clear reddish amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts. Zero sourness. A light and pleasant ripe cherry vibe. Minstrel hops bring a spicy bittermess here, which dominates the light cherry. Light finish leaves a spicy bitter linger. Tidy but quite hoppy for the style.

Coggleshall Beer Festival. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer (would never descibe this as amber), small white head. Light palate, mildly dry and with a good fine crispness. Great condition. Light clean malts, sweetish. Great citric hops, good orange and tangerine. Citric peel bitterness underneath. Touches of lemon and ginger. Lovely crisp finish. Could drink this all night.
