Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, small head. Orange nose with some dust. Sweet dense malt lies underneath blanket of of grassy dusty hops that dris out the beer. Medium bodied. A solid, interesting, well balanced beer reminiscent of a crossing between Einbecker Urbock and a Belgian tripel.

(30cl bottle) Cloudy, amber colour with a small off-white foamy head. Dusty, spicy nose, slightly sweet malty with herbal hops and a fruity tinge. Light sweet flavour, medium bodied, lively carbonated mouthfeel. Toasty malty, yeasty taste with peppery spice and some floral notes; moderately dry, malty and yeasty finish with a floral, slightly perfumed aftertaste.

(bottle, received from my sailing sister) Hazy, pale golden colour with a small creamy white layer. Dusty and quite dense aroma of light fruity notes (citrus) and spicy phenols. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium body with a moderate carbonation. Malty, slightly grainy and only light wheaty taste with a restrained fruit character and strong spicy phenols, leading into the finish. Rather unconvincing attempt to brew a Hefeweizen, as the back label states.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a short frothy white layer. Lemon-fruity and spicy aroma with notes of vanilla and coriander (?), although they state on the label, that it is brewed according to the Bavarian purity law. Malt-accented, citrus-fruity taste with a herbal background, medium to light bodied with a crispy carbonated mouthfeel; lasting fruity and bitter hoppy and spicy finish. The back label says it is a Kölsch…well, it is not, but it is better than many Kölsch I had so far.

Bottled 30cl. Hazy orange color, firm head, floating yeast. Fruity and soapy aroma, not very strong. Quite hoppy tripel, same time also lots of sweetness here. Citrus bitter aftertaste. Would be better with less sugar.

Bottled 30cl (BB 03/2007). Murky ruby red, firm tan head. Dried dark fruits in the aroma, hints of iron. Medium-bodied. Dark fruits, light malts, notes of brown sugar in the finish. Suprisingly dry for Dutch dubbel, no candy sugar added here I believe. Very balanced, but a bit light palate.
