500 ml bottle, seems that this is now sold instead of the Festmärzen with the golden label. Clear golden with a foamy head. Full ripe stonefruit, lemon zest, bread, slightly metallic, pretzels. Dry zesty bitterness, fruity grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry zesty fruity grainy metallib bittersweet finish. Good!

0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', as 'Oktoberfest Bier', 6.0% abv, best before April 2025. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit malty, moderately floral aroma of grains, some lemon peel and hints of honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a little floral taste of grains, straw, some honey and traces of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay, clean but rather boring, I prefer the Märzen by far.

Bottle from Galleria. My third M.J. 500 scoop on this trip. Toasty, slightly nutty malt nose, with burnt caramel and light cocoa notes. A bit of orange fruitiness too. Dark brown with orange tints and a low, thick head. Rich, malty flavor, bready, nutty, toast, cocoa, yes, a rich not dry dunkel that is far better than average. Full but not heavy. Smooth. Still a good dunkel, though there are several better ones in Franken.

clear dark golden to bright amber colour, moderate sized dense white head; aroma of hay, bread, roasted nutty and some rye bready-grainy notes; taste has similar notes to the aroma with some herbal hoppy, as well as minimal metallic notes; good one
