This oatmeal stout poured a black colour with a creamy, light tan head. Nice lacing. Scents include roasted malt, dark chocolate, smoke and caramel. First swig was smooth, creamy and full flavoured. Tastes of coffee, ash, molasses, just no name a few. Not sweet, not overly bitter. Nicely balanced. Finish is roasted/burnt malts with coffee lingering.

This dark lager poured a almost black colour with a creamy brown head. Nice lacing. Might be a bit off… Scents include very light caramel, cardboard, molasses and ripe fruit. First swig was a little thin. Creamy mouthfeel with light caramel, minimal black licorice, slight dark roast coffee and malt flavours. Finish is all malt and caramel lasting forever.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a beautiful, creamy tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include roasted malts, toffee, a little coffee, tiny bit fuel of some sort and alcohol. First swig was creamy and smooth with flavours of Melloids cough drops, fresh black licorice, minimal coffee, brown sugar and caramel. Finish is malty as ever with roasted coffee and cough drop flavours lingering.

Whoa...... This was rushed. A butter diacetyl mess. Musty, buttery grains, yuck.

Another solid King offering. Copper pour, Bready aroma, grassy hops. Nothing wrong with this. A good quality beer, but really nothing to rave about.

Can from the LCBO. Hazy medium amber with a large frothy cream coloured head. Nose is tropical fruit and citrus with some prominent butterscotch. Flavour is sweet butterscotch with some citrus. Just seems off. 6/4/3/3/10

Pours a clear golden colour with an off-white cap, disappearing quickly and some light lacing. At first, aromas of apples and mild grass. After breathing, malty with hints of hay. This grain appears in the taste with some decent hops. A nice lager with a good blend of the hops and malts. Not too sweet, not too grassy. Easy to drink pilsner-like brew.

What do you know. These cider guys are making beer. (Or at least trying.) Tried at a local bar on their rotating tap. I suppose this would be a session since it’s only a 4.5. Pours a thin clear blond yellow with a flat white head. Smells of thin malts and a little corn syrup. Taste not that far off the smell thin malts, mildly cloying sweetness with no notable hop presents. If you’re going to brew beer Thornbury you’ve got to step it up, or go back to squeezing apples.

On tap at WVRST - part of a tasting set. Also had it on tap at beer bistro in the same night. A ruby amber pour with a solid malty aroma. The taste is bready caramel and pretty smooth. Alright.

This lager poured a nice medium amber colour with a off white, smooth head. Scents include ripe fruit, malt, tea and hops. First taste was nice and smooth. Quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of light raisin (or other ripened fruit?), bread and a tiny bit of smoke. Finish is really nice with a light bitterness and hop/malt flavor lingering.
