500ml bottle. Pours orange amber with a small head. Aroma is skunky orange hops. Taste is some bread to start and skunky malt. Not the best, why the green bottles!?

BBE Aug 08 bottle strored cool and dark. Clear brown beer. Fairly standard bitter with an additional touch of toffee. Inoffensive but pretty dull.

Cask at the Bridge, Kungswinford. Pours light amber with a medium head. Aroma is light citrus hops and a hint of apple. Creamy start, pale malt finish and tiny amount of citrus hops in the aftertaste. Good session pint.

Cask at the Fountain, Clent. Pours dark brown with a medium, creamy head. Aroma was nutmeg and Coke. Not much to start, Christmas spice, bready malt and a bit woody in the finish.

Cask gravity at Ashford Rugby Club BF 2010. Gold, thin white head. It’s a decent golden bitter. Bit maltier than a standard golden ale. Very drinkable. It’s fine. OK malts. OK hop. Middle of the road beer.

Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, 9 Stoney Street, Southwark, London, Greater London, England SE1 9AA.Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - roasted, apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, light acrid bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100802]

bottle clear brown, smooth large offwhite head. aroma: mild bitterness and hoppiness, quite typical "english" beer, some malts like sweetness, some dry caramel. flavor is slightly honey and flowery sweet, and balanced with a gentle dose of bitterness. Bit more flowery and sweet than many other bitters, but everything is balanced out nicely, high drinkabillity.

bottle from kihoskh pours a clear amber, smooth offwhite to light brown head. metal, caramel, flowers and eggs is the first that hit my nose, aroma is fortunately better than the first impression, still it is some sort of breadish caramelly tightly bitter thing. flavor is bitter, very slightly citrussy or fruity powdered sugarish soruish, faint sweet malts, lots of bitterness as in any other british bitter. Pretty weird tasting bottle, something like usual english bitter, poured over a grapefruit with powdered sugar. End result being bitter with hints of grapefruit and powdered sugar.. strange..

Cask handpull at The Pheasant Ashford. Clear pale chestnut colour. Lasting creamy head from sparkler. Malty aroma. Lovely rich mid brown malts. I mean its a tasty malty best bitter. Ticks all the boxes with an extra one for being just damn good. The reason I like drinking bitter.
