Decent red, medium body, not over-bitter like most. I would like a bolder mouthfeel and stronger caramel flavours. All around pretty good for the style. Brewery in Dresden

I find that alts are difficult to find good examples of, this one is pretty good for the style, but has issues. It tastes a lot like some of the homebrew issues I used to have, which is odd that their other beers don't have the same off flavour. brewery in Dresden

This bottle from the brewery has a strong astringency, and not much to balance it out. This batch might be off or something, I'll update the review if it's better the next time.

“Wilder Mann“, dunkles Bockbier (6 %) aus der Hausbrauerei Schwingenheuer, Dresden. Flasche (50 cl) im Bautzner Tor ebenda. - Tiefdunkelbraun, trüb. - In der Nase dunkles Malz, Mokkabohnen und eine zarte säuerlich-molkige Note. - Antrunk kräftig dunkelmalzig mit Mokka(bohnen) und kerniger Bitterschokolade, aufgelockert durch eine zarte, keineswegs störende säuerliche Note, ein wenig Zitrone, Feige. Zart moosig-erdiger, frischer Hopfen. Für einen Bock recht frisch und lebhaft. Mild rezent, füllig aber nicht breit. Im Abgang runde hopfenwürzig-moosige Hopfenherbe über bitterschokoladigem Malz. - Origineller, sehr guter Bock.
