500 ml bottle sampled in 2010. Hazy amber body with floaters and a fast disappearing beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, dry fruit and alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, syrup, dry fruit, moderate bitterness and warming alcohol. Full body and sweet aftertaste. Very sweet, but not bad. A fine sipper.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival in KEGS! Almost clear gold beer, tiny white head. Palate is fresh and smooth with mild fine carbonation. Mild sweet ginger with a trace of citrus. There is a little whiskey here but it is pretty light. Rounds of with more mellow ginger making this quite a sweet beer overall. Dry finish. Decent but I really wanted this to be bigger and more full on in all areas.

My bottle clearly states 14.0% abv! Opaque black beer, massive pale tan head. Slightly crisp palate, airy. Another Frankenstein beer from Pitfield! A roast malt base with a little lactose. Fair bit of bretty sourness. Brief dusty note. Finishes with a fair bit of aggressive hop bitterness with a little citrus. Lingering bitter aftertaste, Interesting, not tasted anything quite like this before except maybe the FV15. Age has calmed the alcohol down but it’s still full on.

Not for admins - look similar to ’Organic Honey’ but that was last seen in 2004. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Mild minerals. Semi dry malt. Light sweetness in the mid. Super mild tangy hops - barely there fruit. Semi dry finish with light floral notes. Inoffensive but sailing close to Blandsville!
