really nice redish/brown pour, small tan head. Aroma is very bready, with some sweet malt, and a touch of alcohol. Flavour is sweet, not cloying, but close. Quite complex, i’m getting some bready, chewy malt, some very sweet malt, a touch of the honey, some brandy flavours, and a bit of a scotch flavour in the finish. Very interesting brew, and VERY complex. The alcohol is hidden extremely well, a very nice sipper.

16 ounce can from Lower Merion Beverage in Ardmore, PA. A Top 50 for the style. Opaque black pour. Frothy tan head leaves draped lacing. Rich roasted malt aroma has chocolatey notes. Flavor is more of the same. Smooth and flavorful. Some bitterness on backend , but this is an excellent example of the style.

Clear, vibrant, 5oz dark iced tea pour at the downtown source. Wife is getting in wedding mode & I'm hitting some of the local watering holes for a couple hours. Over-steeped, veggie tea with some unidentified berry & salinity. Tannic, very pithy, steeped vinous things, light sharpness, I'm told this is raspberry. Very vinous as it goes, raspberry iced tea, kettle sour bite, aspirin on the tail. Way Over-steeped but kinda okay. Like that they're actually trying to make new stuff.

Clear, pale honey gold pour in downtown Bar Harbor. Grainy, lightly floral nose. Crispy, steel-y noble hops, faint saline, hidden poke of zest, itchy malt, strong carb, pretty dry & crushable. Though a little sweetness creeps out as it warms. Good-ish.

At the downtown location. Hazy, orange-mango, lingering bleached head. Bitter orange, fennel, soft pine nose. Orange & white onion forward with some oily pith as it goes. Mostly dry with some juiciness. Inconsistent carb. Some body-weight with a chalky Aspirin finish. Fresh brew. Good-ish.

Downtown Bar Harbor. Opaque, dark, cold, dull brown pour. Toasted, veggie, raw malt nose. Itchy, bittersweet leaning bitter. Dusty flour, untoasted brown bread, a sprinkle of crushed Aspirin, slight cream & cheeky acid on the tail. Okay.
