I liked the appearance of Red but for the strength of it it didn’t seem to do a lot. I’d have it again to see if it was just where I’d had it rather than the beer itself as there was nothing unpleasant about it. It just didn’t seem very notable.

500mL bottle, pours a dark brown with a reddish tinge and a one-inch beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, dark fruits (plums, cherries), and caramel. Flavour of dark roasted malts upfront, with some burnt wood, less of the dark fruits and less sweetness than on the nose. Medium-bodied and quite easy to drink. Good.

Cask, Dispensary, Liverpool. Clear amber looks with a nice creamy lingering white head. Great juicy fruit n’ hop in the nose and flavour. Maybe some notes of kiwi, or did i imagine that ? Great condition, sparkling stuff. Big lingering hop bitter finish. Hugely drinkable.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear golden colour, white head. Nose is light malted, hoppy and fruity. Flavour is hoppy, fairly bitter, grapefruit, followed by dry biscuit. Fairly bitter finish.

Cask at Watford beer festival 2011, Herts. A golden/amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes hoppy, fruity, bitter. It’s OK.

Cask handpull at Tap East. Clear gold thick lasting near white head. Hugely big tasty nettle really leafy big hop. Tasty as hell. You do have to take a deep breath after each gulp as it is so big on the leafy hop. Good stuff though

Cask Very good dirty-yellow head over metallic golden beer. Ureum-rich hops, citric, dry hopbales, smelling very American. Taste is more British; short sweetish flavour, followed by ultra dry UK & USA hops. Ends on straw and grain; flavour of lemonsweets. Very light-British MF, long dry-bitterish aftertaste, then suddenly utterly gone. Quite nice, if in my opinion pretty un-British blonde. The lemonsweets aroma is a tad unsettling, if not disturbing.
