B.C."H.", black beer. Chocolate, dark malts, and some roasted aromas. Dry, oatmeal-like, and a bit ashy flavour & feel. Chocolate coming up again in the finish. Medium to well-bodied. Cask No head, black beer. Sweetish, bit lactic/milky, and touches of both liquorice and vanilla. Not really the whisky. Vanilla, chocolate, chocolate wafers, just a touch of roasty bitterness in the very finish. Well-bodied, very slick, some alcoholwarming. Better than the sum of its parts, really, and certainly not one to miss if you find it. Still, for a whiskybarrel-lagered IS, it is a bit too shy.

Cask B.C."H."; metallic dark-golden beer. Nelson Sauvin, and other very fruity/flowery, blossomy hops, and lots of grapefruit too. Fruity-bitter, with grapefruit, bitter melon, lytchee. Light, but not empty MF. Gristslickness. Long bitter/hoppy aftertaste. Another excellent pale ale, in no particular national style - great!

Clear dark brown beer, small to no head. Aroma: vanilla, that's no lie! Some bubble gum, caramel, cuberdons (typical Belgian candy, purple cones), sweet, syrupy, grenadine. MF: no carbon, light to medium body. Taste: sweet caramel start, vanilla, curberdons, bit sour, strawberries, bubble gum, little woody. Aftertaste: vanilla, caramel, bitter hoppy ending. If only this would have had more body, it would have been a 4 or more.

Cask @ Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell EC1. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a fruity roasted malty caramel aroma. Fruity roasted malty caramel ad chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

Cask @ ACBF 2012, Moen. Brune foncée, col beige léger. Arôme de malt et barrique qui reste très faible. En bouche, léger houblon, malt présent, je ne perçois pas trop de barrique, reste très légère pour 8.5% avec un fini chocolaté. Reste faiblarde et dommage que le barrique ne ressorte pas plus, surtout après un traitement de 6 mois dans cette dernière.

At ACBF 2012. Very dark brown. Thin collar. Damson and vanilla aroma. Sweet sour and dry all at same time. Some papery flavour. Fruit is good not sure about the vanilla though.

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Smooth roasted malty and light caramelish. Dark malty and roasted finish.
