Description
In 2011 beginnen Samuel Languy en Denys Van Elewyck met het brouwen “en stoemelings” vooraleer ze hun brouwerij officieel openen in 2014. Vandaag zijn ze, in een flexibele ruimte van 430 m², voortdurend bezig met het ontwikkelen en perfectioneren van hun aanbod en producten. Genesteld in de Marollen ligt de brouwerij En Stoemelings waar verschillende bieren gebrouwen worden die 100% traditioneel en lokaal zijn. Die volledig niet-geautomatiseerde productie brengt zo’n 600 flesjes per week voort! Het hele proces van vullen, bottelen, opslag, aankoop, verkoop en schoonmaak wordt met de hand gedaan. Dat ze in het hartje van Brussel liggen, is zeer belangrijk: de distributie is voornamelijk lokaal en concentreert zich op verkoop in de brouwerij zelf en enkele bierwinkels in Brussel.

21/10/2017 @home - 33cl bottle from a 6-pack winning contest. Light amber coloured, medium white head. Nose is malts, bit caramel, yeast. Taste is ripe fruits, some caramel, some spice from the yeast.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a medium head. Aroma is coriander, yeast, pale malts, hay. Body is light and strongly carbonated, rather thin backbone. Minerals, chalky. Dry watery palate, only carbonation. Okay.

Bottle from Les Fleurs.Murky black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt. Flavour is toasted malt, licorice, creamy chocolate on a bitter malt finish.

Black beer, white head. Aroma of malts, roasted malts. Rather sweet flavour, roasted malts. Sweet finish.

Sampled at BLX Beer Fest. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Notes of citrus, light roasted malts, light chocolate, coffee, fruit. A bit too light for a porter.

Sampled at BLX Beer Fest. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Notes of citrus, farmhouse funk, caramel, oranges. Medum body, light carbonation.

Sampled at BLX Beer Fest. Muddy orange pour with a light tan head. Notes of caramel, caramelized oranges, malt and some dried fruit. A bit too sweet, even for a Belgian ale.
