Description

Bottle from the brewery. En Stoemeling - Curieuse Neus means curious nose literally but in Brussels dialect it means being curious. It is a toned down triple aimed at boosting the drinkability. 7% it’s a cloudy orange gold with a bright hoppy citrus aroma (target+citra). Medium-light bodied with a raspy effervescent carbonation. The taste starts of sweet and spicy like a triple but ends a bit rough and dry. Good bready spice mid mouth though. Decent for the first try of a brewery that is 3 months old or so. Better in a teku glass once it was a bit warmer it got breadier, spicier and more satisfying going from 3.1 to 3.3

Sampled from bottle thanks to 77ships @ Borefts 2014 day 2. Clear yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, quite fruity, more than I had expected, lightly a hint of yeast and a touch of fruitpeel. Lightly bitter finish, decent body and carbonation.

33 cl. bottle @ Borefts 2014. Thank you Mathieu87! Hazy orange. Sweet caramel, liqueur, sticky, lots of candy, hay. Strange bitter herbal taste, caramel, hay, sticky sweet candy sugar, bit watery. Low carbonation. Seems like the focus here was far more to be the 3rd brewery of Brussels than the taste, Brussels Beer Project tops them in quality very a huge landslide.

Cloudy muddy orange beer, irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very floral, lots of yeast, sugary, sweet, bit spicy, banana. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet, sugary, floral, soapy bitterness, some overripe banana. Aftertaste: mainly banana, sugary, sweet, yeast. Meh.
