Tap. Bar Recyclart, Brussels, just round the corner from the brewery. Cloudy gold. Good, dense, sticky, lasting, off white head. Sweet, spicy hop. Soft, sweet yeasty, grainy bread. Some herbal, and citric notes. Taste is chewy sweet. Enough bitterness keeps things in check. Soft, foamy mouthfeel. Gets more bitter on the finish. Very nice. Went well with a lightly spiced vegetable curry!

Bouteille 75cl, de et partagée avec Tderoeck. BB 12/2016.

Pours unclear amber, no real head. No real scent. Taste is sharp, bitter. Citrussy. Dry, some fruity funk. Very nice , even though I was told by others this wasn’t much. I loved the citsrussy , fleshy taste though.

(Thx!) 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “2de Bierproeffestival van De Dijleschuimers”. Hazy golden, small white. Nose is dull fish guts yeast, iron, sugar & more yeast. Taste is dull sugar yeast, iron, candy, light butter, fish guts yeast,… Boring iron & sugar body. Meh, didn’t care for this one, all yeast & not liking the yeast profile plus iron etc.

First beer from the newest Brussels beer producer, tasted at Lambikstoempers’ Bierweekend in Alsemberg. Creamy, stable, dense, yellowish beige head, cloudy ochre colour. Aroma of flowers, dried apricot, rotting leaves, orange peel, wet straw, white pepper, banana. Crisp, fruity onset with a hint of banana, dryish and very yeasty, caramelly malt base, pretty long floral and spicy hop bitterness in the end almost going into an English style IPA direction, but not quite getting there, ending bitter and dry, but ’dirty’ and very yeasty as well. Needs cleaning up to truly shine.
