Description
In 2011 beginnen Samuel Languy en Denys Van Elewyck met het brouwen “en stoemelings” vooraleer ze hun brouwerij officieel openen in 2014. Vandaag zijn ze, in een flexibele ruimte van 430 m², voortdurend bezig met het ontwikkelen en perfectioneren van hun aanbod en producten. Genesteld in de Marollen ligt de brouwerij En Stoemelings waar verschillende bieren gebrouwen worden die 100% traditioneel en lokaal zijn. Die volledig niet-geautomatiseerde productie brengt zo’n 600 flesjes per week voort! Het hele proces van vullen, bottelen, opslag, aankoop, verkoop en schoonmaak wordt met de hand gedaan. Dat ze in het hartje van Brussel liggen, is zeer belangrijk: de distributie is voornamelijk lokaal en concentreert zich op verkoop in de brouwerij zelf en enkele bierwinkels in Brussel.

Smell is very pure, vegetal , mild coffee. Taste is sharp, mild coffee, bit bitter. Dry, malty. Very full. Not bad at all !

Bottle sample @ Vini Birre Ribelli ’16. Attention ceci n’est pas une Berliner .... surement une zwanze. Dorée, col blanc fin. Arôme au nez finement malté, pils, pâle, rétro houblonné tirant sur le noble avec de fines effluves fleuris. Palais est malté de base, pils, reste belge dans l’approche levure, fini léger sur les esters avec une petite douceur résiduelle. Aspect un peu végétal sur al fin, thé blanc voire abricot en infusion. Reste dans la lignée Stoemeling, hit or miss et parfois pas facile pour le prix payé.

Thank you for sharing Sebletitje & tderoeck! Sampled @ Vini Birre Ribelli 2016. Dark brown, murky, ugly looking, little tanned head. Nose is thin cheap cacao & mocha powder, chemical, thin, artificial chocolate. Taste is thin powdery mocha, cheap cacao, milk chocolate, watery, thin wey, lactose. Body is cheap mocha, powdery, watery. Didn’t care for it.

Thank you for sharing Sebletitje & tderoeck! Sampled @ Vini Birre Ribelli 2016. Hazy citrus, little bubbles. Nose is vegetable oil & banana, insecticide hops,.. Taste is green banana, insecticide, chemical, green, white sugar; Body is chemical & banana. Not a fan, in general I don’t like En Stoemelings beers. I don’t get the love that this brewery gets, a lot of it seems to be due to nationalistic reasons apparently, nationalism is stupid.

Pours rather clear amber, small ,white head.smell is mild, malty, bit sweet. No smoke though. Taste is very mildly smoked. Bit sweet trough the aromatic malts. Very balanced. Smoke is very, very light even i can like this.

Pours unclear blonde, small to no White head. Smell is spiced, bit sweet, no real Berliner weisse at all in the scent. Taste is bit sweet, malty, rather sweet, some dough, mild hoppyness. How is this a Berliner weisse ???

Pours dark brown, small white head. Smell is creamy, bit roasty. Taste is Sharp, bit bitter, mild hops, creamy, dark malts. Bit lactic, almost. Yet not sweet. Ok

Cloudy beige brown beer, creamy head, stable, adhesive. Aroma: sweet, soft roast, some mocha, caramel, bit fruity. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, bit lemony, soft roast, caramel, some dried fruits, grains, little bitter. Aftertaste: hoppy, dry finish, roasted, malty, grains, little sour.

Cloudy amber to beige beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of banana, sweet and sugary, overripe fruits, yeasty. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet start, little spicy, lots of ripe banana, bitter hint. Aftertaste: just yeast, banana, not much else.
