Bottle at CWC II; hazy copper pour with a thin beige head, aroma has yeast action and some sweet caramel, taste has some banana, yeast, sweet toffee.

tried at Cotteridge 2. Hazy orange colour with a small white head. aroma is fresh fruity hop taste is belgian yeasty, with a slight bitter hoppy finish

Bottle share at Ratebeer meet up, Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham Saturday 5th March 2016 Very much typical Belgian nose it is ovely zippy, fresh nose, a touch of banana in the mouth, sweet but really tasty. Like this from a new brewery for me. A8 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.8

Cotteridge 2 tasting. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. peach aroma hoppy finish. Very Good Hops. Lovely in fact. Good esters.

pours very dark, between amber and brown. Clear, small white head. Smell is weak. Taste is bit bitter, very malty, sweet, caramelly, some dark Sugar. Ok, but rather blank, and too simple, sugary sweet for my taste. OK mf , ok to high carbo.

Bottle from Malt Attacks . Pours unclear blonde, good white head. Smell is orange, rather sweet . Taste is sharp, very full, buttery mouthfeel. Bit bitter, Very nicely spiced, very balanced and refreshing. Nicely drinkable. Very nice !

750ml bottle, picked up at the brewery. Clear, dark orange amber. Ring of white head. Nose has toffee apple. Caramel. Some notes of gravy granules. Taste is savoury and fruity sweet. Full bodied. Slick and a bit greasy. Chewy sweet finish. Underdone.

75cl, BB 02.20.2017, lot# 01.05 Léger orangé trouble, col fin crémeux blanc mais qui retombe rapidement. Arôme est délicat agrémenté de note fleurie et herbacée, surement du jasmin. Rétro malté, biscuité avec un petit côté agrumes-herbacé du houblon Saphir. Palais est épais, malté, note de grains, avec un fini biscuité et froment. Houblonné moyen rappelant un noble basique de Hallertauer qui procure juste ce qu’il faut en amertume. Le côté fleuri est discret avec au final une bière qui reste trop centrée sur le grains, avec ce fini suret-râpeux et son effervescence moyenne-haute. Correcte, mais une fois de plus, le rapport prix 8€ (tout de même) et résultat laisse un peu dubitatif.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is phenolic and light vegetables. Mild estery fruity, slight herbal. Bitter, fruity and toasted malty. Bitter and slight estery herbal finish.

Bouteille 75cl, BB 12/2016, lot# 12.02. Ambrée, col fin beige retombant trop rapidement. Arôme donne de suite le côté belge dans la levure, rétro malt cara virant sur biscuité, petite touche fleurie des houblons rappelant un champs de fleurs, pâquerette et finemetn citronné. Palais est malté plus en avant, pils assez prononcé sur un profil belge que l’on ne peut pas rater. Le tout garde une certaine fraicheur des houblons au caractère noble - finement fleuri. Pointe ester sur la fin qui contraste avec le caractère un peu grillé-biscuité des malts, finement épicé sur une pointe de banane. Ok mais dommage que on paie si cher une bière qui au final ressemble à tellement d’autres au plat pays.
