Description

10/V/16 - 75cl bottle from the brewery @ home, Amy's visit - BB: II/2017, lot # 11-10 (2016-517) Thanks to Siegfried for picking this one up for me!

Clear pale blond beer, big aery irregular white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: banana, fruity, bit grassy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, bit lemony, fruity, soft bitterness, malty. Aftertaste: grains, grassy, herbal, soft acidity, little bitter. Nice one, I think I like this one the best of all their beers up until now (4).

½ glass draft @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Dark hazy golden, big white head. Nose is borring BE yeast, sugar, candy & some fish guts. Taste is fish guts, big sugar, BE yeast, wheat, dull, low grain, faint grass. Basic boring white sugar & yeast profile, too natural & dull. Nothing offensive just very boring for me & dash too much fish guts. Given that, this is my 3rd & by far highest ranking brew by these guys so maybe they are improving.

Bottle split at CCii, thanks to Morris the puge, 05/03/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is yeast esters, caramel, straw, lemon rind. Taste comprises clove, yeast esters, lemon, sweet malt, grain, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style - not too sweet and cloying.

Draft @ ML Fontainas.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Cheers! Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds doughy bread, yeast, meringue, melon. Medium sweet flavour, sugary, lightly boozy, with notes of citrus and more melon. Full bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish, lightly warming, with further melon, tangerine and yeast. Not bad overall.

Bottle at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention- - cheers! It pours cloudy gold with a small white head. The aroma is pretty sweet, estery, banana, apple, pear, candy and pear drops. The taste is sweet, boosty alcohol upfront, apple, pear, pear drops, candy and some graininess and soapy citrus with white sugar towards the finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Too sweet for the likes of me. I would find a big pour of this a challenge.
