Bottle thanks to Brian! Pours a clear dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of musty grain with a bit of underlying grains. Flavor is similar with a musty dark grain/bread note with a bit of rye.

Pours deep amber into a Stein. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet toffee, bread and caramel aromas. Soft with sweet toffee, bread and nuts front to back. Mildly sour earth finish.

Draught@Lord Hobo. Clear deep amber color, decent off-white head. Hoppy fruity, piney aroma. Medium-bodied. Ctirus-resiny hoppy flavor. Very clean malt profile. Tasty, but perhaps a bit uninspiring. Ok. After 3 samples: Haverhill seems to be very solid brewery!

Draught@Lord Hobo. Dark red-ruby color, good beige head. Berries, caramel, perhaps hints of rye in the nose. Medium-bodied, but quite weak palate. Malty, slightly ryeish, hints of berries and caramel. Aftertaste has some hoppyness. Probably good beer with food. For sessioning a bit simple.

Pours a deep, slightly hazed gold into an English pint. Tan pancake head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Pumpkin bread aromas. Thin and crisp with caramel and dough upfront turning to mild nutmeg and allspice before the medium length roasted pumkin finish.

Draft @ The Tap. Very lightly hazy, pale yellow-gold body with light carbonation producing a cap of foam. Thick retention. Aroma has a malty grain with weak hoppy hints. Real clean flavor, with some sweet malt, light grassy hops and notes of hay. A rather dry finish. Spot on for the style. Nice recreation of the German style.

Draft @ The Tap. This was a nice surprise! Well-made pumpkin. The aroma is big and bold with pumpkin, cloves, and cinnamon. (and no I didn’t get sugar and spice on the rim of the glass!) Flavor is pure pumpkin pie filling, bread crust, and then finishes with nutmeg and cinnamon. A nice medium body is made up of a good caramel malt base. The flavor is good without being overwhelming. Nice job on this brew!

Draft @ The Tap. Aroma is a nice blend of caramel, bready malts and light hops. Taste starts with some fruit and malts and transitions into flower and citrus hops. Good balance. Body is on the thin side with correct carbonation levels. Very drinkable but it’s not making me want more. However, no flaws at all.

Draft @ The Tap. Nose is mostly pine and floral hops. Flavor has lots of bitter resinous hops without much malt balance. Leafy green hops and more pine cone. Whoa, for me it’s really on the harsh side. Lighter body doesn’t make it any easier to drink. More malt for balance would really help this recipe.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with thick beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, chocolate, and smoke. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet roasted malt, chocolate, with nice sweet finish. Good.
