Almost no head. Aroma is slightly sour cheesy, barnyard, cheddar cheese, hay, yeast, green berries. Taste is slightly acidic, sorrel, hay, grass, sour green apples, unripe gooseberries, light malts, cereal, cheese, citrus peel. Fair enough, kind of strange, still interesting.

Pours deep gold into a Sam glass. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Toasted nuts, bread and caramel aromas. Slick with sourdough and caramel upfront turning to slightly sour in the lasting bitter earth and roots finish.

Pours black into a Sam glass. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Chocolate, vanilla and espresso aromas. Soft with dark earthy chocolate and resin upfront turning dry in the warming espresso finish.

Growler RBWG. Gold with a white head. Malt aroma. The flavor is well balanced going slightly to the bitter side.

Growler at RBWG 2013, thanks to John. Pours foggy gold with a fine, white foam head. Lots of herbal, piney hops in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, some pine, herbs, earth, lime, grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Gritty earth to finish, some sweet toasty pale malts, lots of pine. Not bad.
