[ As The Tap Swanny Boy ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, maple syrup, light coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140315]

Bomber. Clear amber color, off white head. Aroma of lightly spiced toast. Taste is toasted rye bread. Nice.

Pours deep mahogany into a stem glass. Mocha head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Dark caramel and dusty cocoa aromas. Thin with mild overripe banana and dark chocolate upfront turning to bitter caramel in the doughy finish.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Sweetness on the aroma must be maple, but hard to pinpoint. Vanilla. Not very porter-y. Taste has very light roast character, more sweet sugar than anything. Not great.
