750 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with light head. Aromas of heavily roasted malts, dried dark fruit, and nuts. Flavors are same. In a good way. Quite dry (not sweet) and somewhat hot.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ GBF 2013. Pour blackish, dark brown. Nose is heavy on sweet black liquorish, chocolate, caramel, thick malts, hint of soy sauce. Taste is thick sweet black liquorish, chocolate grains, sweet malts, caramel, milk chocolate and lots of dried dark fruits. Chocolate milk body, interesting to say the least; I would probably like it more if I enjoyed black liquorish more. Thx! to the RB Crew for sharing. + 19.02.2017 "d’Oude Maalderij / h.ertie zure Qantelaar" Uli blend of Girardin lambiek & Qantelaar. 12 bottles made. Thanks to Kraddel. Blend of Qantelaar and Girardin lambiek. 750 ml. bottle sampled. Dark brown, almost black hue, zero head. Nose is very lovely like a vinous dark fruit & figs jam, mellow sour berries, figs & wine, low funk. Taste is mellow vinous figs, dark fruits, roasted malts, more vinous than lambiek-like even though it has some lambiek funk, puckering in the end. Unfortunately it has zero carbonation. With carbonation this would have been glorious, still very nice, it is too flat & watery. (4.2)

Clear black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, drop and dried fruit. Bitter roasted malts flavour, light hops. Quite light carbonation, light liquorice (drop) in the finish.
Nice beer, but wouldn’t call it a quadrupel, it feels closer to dubbel and stout.
