500ml bottle [#1036/1250]. Cloudy, brown-ish, dark red colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. BA supported, sweet-ish malty aroma, notes of marzipan, caramel, a touch of marmite and cherry, some oak, toasted oak, smoked wood, dried fruit, raisin. Taste is sweet malty, dry oaky and quite boozy, notes of caramel, dark caramel, marzipan, fruity hints of raisin, sultana, cherry, a touch of marmite; warming, alcoholic finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth soft and slightly pungent palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Rich and complex, quite alcoholic - not my cup of tea.

Pours a clear, medium dark gold. Small white head. Scent is heavy, sweet impresion as well as peat. bready. Taste is sharp, peated, fleshy. Not my thing at all, as expected. medium thin body, medium carbo.

pours clear ambergold. Small white head. Scent is full, very heavy on the oats. Taste is sharp, higher in bitterness. Creamy, oat-loaden flavor. Far less balanced than the BA version. Sharp , tad herbal. Not BW to me, much like others in the style. More bitterness than others in the series. Decent , but the BA version is actually really good.

Pours clear, dark gold. Small white head. Scent is not that expressive. Taste is quite light, not at at a BW mouthfeel. Roasty, tonka provides a mild aroma - recognizable , but different than what i'm used to. Mouthfeel is far to light though. Not expressivly sweet nor bitter, as you should be able to expect from a BW. Decent, still. But would loved a more true-to-style base.

Pours clear , golden with a copper hue. Small white head. very light for a BW . Scent is Shap, creamed cheese, herbal; not overly clear and recognizable as sorachi to me. Taste is quite thin and sharp. Goat cheese comes to mind. (I don't think this is actualy isovaleric acid? Perhaps more due to the combo?) more clearly recognizable sorachi.

Pours hazed amberbrown. Unstable small white head. scent is sharp, minthy almost, woody , fig leaves provide a herbal aroma I'm not overly fond of. mild caramel. Taste is sharp, smokey touch almost. Sharp, herbal notes due to the leaves. Strong aroma of the palo santo wood. Not overly fond of this one, as far as personal preference goes. Caramely, slight whiff of chocolate in the finish.
