25cl draft at Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels, Belgium. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a one inch white head that falls slow with great retention and lace. The aroma is a sweet honey malt, floral and a bit of faint herbal. The taste is a nice blend of honey malt, floral hop and the de la Senne character yeast. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and the clean yeast, mineral, herbal finish. Super clean and balanced.

Slightly biscuity, pale malty and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of mandarine, orange. Taste is mildly bitter, citrusy fruity hoppy and sweet-ish, slightly biscuity, pale malty, notes of mandarine, orange, some lemon, some zesty bitterness, a touch of orange peel. Minimally creamy, watery, texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, foamy, somehow mouthfilling, almost bite-able, mildly prickly carbonation. Harmonious and balanced, light with elegant simplicity - good.

Helder goudkleurig bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitterzoet en ietwat fruitig met iets van sinaasappel en banaan. Degelijke tripel.

Médaille de bronze aux World Beer Awards...Je pense que les membres de ratebeer le savent allégrement, mais mieux vaut le rappeler, ne croyez jamais ces récompenses qui sont tout comme cette bière de l'attrape nigot de marketing. En l'occurrence, le nigot ce fut moi, même si je savais où j'allais avec cette bière. Mais d'abord restons dans le marketing avec une étiquette qui veut vendre la tradition belge avec les inscriptions Dominicains,Tripel 8 et même le drapeau de la belgique. Je crois que ce genre de bière fait plus de mal à la belgique qu'autre chose, et que c'est même une injure. Le visuel est sur un blond doré avec une fine effervescence soutenue et une mousse blanche nappant tout juste la surface. Le nez est très moyen sur la pomme de terre, la coriandre, les céréales et l'alcool. En bouche on découvre une bière avec un mauvais équilibré, trop de sucre saturant le palais une légère acidité pas exceptionnelle mais donnant un peu de fraîcheur et un alcool pas bien intégré. Corpulence et longueur sont honnêtes mais sur des arômes peu emballants qui reprennent ceux du nez. Passez votre chemin !
