AROMA: medium vinous notes (sherry-like) with hints of wood, slight sweet rum. low to faint malt background, with a slight toffee character. APPEARANCE: reddish amber color and hazy. no head. TASTE: initial medium notes of woody rum. low to faint malt background with a slight toffee character. low complexity for an old ale. medium vinous alcoholic flavor with notes of dry Madeira wine, with a lactic-like profile. medium bitterness. finishes dry with hints of toasted malt. PALATE: medium-low body. no carbonation. OVERALL: an old ale without much character, that was lost to time and barrel and without carbonation.

Draught, half pint. @«Brew Coimbra 2019», Coimbra (Portugal). 13/09/2019. Pale yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is soft floral and lemony. Taste is the same, leading to a soft bitter finish. Spiced aftertaste. Next one please!

AROMA: medium roasted malt aroma with a dark chocolate character. background of medium-low wood, vanillin and slight spirit. APPEARANCE: very dark brown colour and opaque with ruby highlights. Medium-large light brown head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: medium roasted malt flavour (coffee-like with slight chocolate notes), followed by faint woody vanillin. medium bitterness with a dry and roasty finish. PALATE: medium body with medium to medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a good american porter with subtle barrel notes on the flavour.

Tap @ VAF 2018 / 01.12. Pours yellow golden, kind of flat. Light vinegar in nose, fruity and grainy too. Taste is grainy, light and some tabasco coming up strongly in the finish. Kind of one trick pony but that's not a bad trick.

Tap @ VAF 2018 / 01.12. Light amber pour, bit of white foam on top. Nice sour nose, tart barnyard, cheesy brett. Autumny. Taste is sweetish tart, good barnyard, bit of residual sweetness still there. Fruity and finish has some brett bitterness. Good although with quite some imbalances. Tasty though.
