Hazy brown colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour are grain heavy and there’s a lot of natural sweetness. It’s tempered well with fruity, bitter hops. Full flavoured and well balanced.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 33B/15A adaptaded). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L18315AB. AROMA: predominant whiskey barrel aroma with slight hot and wood notes, followed by medium-low caramel/toffee and low dried grapes aroma. APPEARANCE: reddish-ambar color and clear. very thin ivory head with no retention. TASTE: initial medium whisky and barrel wood notes, followed by low malt character (caramel). medium-low bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with almost no carbonation. slight hot but smooth alcoohol warmth. OVERALL: an odd style to age in a whiskey barrel, since it has a little more alcohol that the usual red ale. Nonetheless with Red Ale notes, although more absent due to the barrel conditioning. The almost absence of carbonation lends it a "flat" feeling on the palate.
