Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Thanks to Paul. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is crisp and dry. Good fine carbonation. Tangy malts and tangy toffee. Light dried fruits. Slightly bitter off note before the dry finish. Fun to try but barely passes muster.

Bottle shared at Chriso. It pours deep amber with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, gingerbread, fruit cake, brown sugar and dried fruit. The taste is surprisingly watery, wood, leather, sweetish dried fruits, must/staleness, light bitterness, caramel and toast with a dull, flat finish. Mediumish finish and low carbonation. Smells alright, but taste is a bit watery and dusty.
