Bottle at a bar in Lecce, 4th April 18. Pours a dark amber. Aroma is malty, not much warning of the hops. Taste is malt, some bitterness, citrus. It's muted. I noticed the bottle was a few days after the best before and complained to the waiter, so it was free, hopefully better fresh.

Bottle from Surrey Wine Cellar, Chobham. Sour doughy citrus aroma. Pale gold. Bubbly. A slight haze to it*. Massive frothy head. Light citrus bitterness with sugary sweet finish. Melons. Generally fruity. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft carbonation. Long finish, somewhat astringent. Another beer from this brewery which exceeded expectations. Soft and fruity. Slips down. Almost has some hefe characteristics, *especially now that I’ve topped my glass up and it’s gone opaque. If it was any sweeter it’d drop points though.

Bottle from Surrey Wine Cellar, Chobham. Feint caramel aroma, with a distinct sour edge. Amber. Bubbly white head, this soon recedes. Sweet and sour. Malty base. Some bitterness in the finish. Caramel and fruits. Light bodied. Thin but slick. Fizzy carb. Low key finish. Wasn’t sure what to expect by this was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyable ESB. The stewed fruits bring to mind a stronger beer.

Bottle from Surrey Wine Cellar, Chobham. Odd sour cream and weak coffee aroma. Eggy. Glossy black. Thin but frothy off-white head. So I reckon the style is incorrect, should at least be a Sweet Stout. A hint of bitterness, a sour edge to the finish, but creamy over sugared mocha comes to the fore. Stewed berries in the mix. Medium bodied. Slick. Lively carbonation. Pretty abrupt finish. The aroma had me worried but goes down very well. The right side of sweet.
