Cask at the jolly butchers, stoke Newington. A hazed pale golden coloured pour with no head. Aroma is big earthy grains, hay, orange rind, dry straw. Flavour is composed of grains, hay, tangy orange rind, citrus, grassy hop. Palate is tangy, grainy, decent cask condition. Good authentic pale.. Rustic grains.

660ml bottle at home, 9th September 17. This one is Nelson, Citra, Centinnial dry hopped, slight deviation from the hop list above, but I guess pretty much the same beer. Aroma is citrus, slight sourness. Taste is soapy, gritty, unclean, some booze, some bitterness, a bit rough. Something dodgy with the reviews to date, this is not that great.

4th Sep 2017: Shrewsbury Bottle Share in Chez Sophie. Large bottle: BB Aug 2018. Gusher, a real gusher, would not stop pushing it's self out the bottle. Anyway once it had settled down a bit we all had (five of us) half a glass of a misty amber beer and half a glass of bubbly foam. Yeasty and citrusy in both the nose and taste, thought it fine, pity about losing so much on opening.

Bomber @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep 17, courtesy of Simon. One of the few non-fake Lines reviews on RateBeer. Gusher, a good amount ending up all over the table. Pours hazy orange, small foamy white head. Aroma of spicy wild yeast. Taste of crisp tangy wild yeast, soft fruity flavours, sharp citrus. Decent.

Keg at Ghost Whale, Brixton, 04/08/17. Golden pour with a well presented off white cap. Nose is lemon rind, straw, moderate spice, grains. Tatste comprises light yeast esters, nip of lime jus, crackers, citric tinged straw, lemon drizzle, hint of farmyard and a trace of white peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent refreshing saison for the ABV. NOTE .... I haven’t worked for Celt Experience and am not a friend of the guy who has been involved with Celt Experience / Mabignon Mead and Lines Brew hence my score didn’t quite hit the 4.5 level these folks tend to rate at !!!

660ml bottle: BBD Dec 2019. Shared between five on 24th July 2017 at the monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Golden amber pour, slight hazy look, white affair on top. Body had a lot of ’fizz’, so well carbonated in the bottle. Nose had a dirty/sour farmyard feel, taste on the same lines with an off, red wine twist flavour wise. Actually liked this a lot. Cheers Simon and Mike for this offering.

660ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie. Thanks to Mike. Pours a lightly misty gold, small foamy white head. Pleasant, vibrant brett funk on the nose. Taste bears quite a good bretty saison character, some distant pinot hints emerging. Excellent, bright, flavoursome saison.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Was told this wasn’t ready on the first day due to looking murky, but nothing changed on the second day, so I guess this is the intended appearance. Palate was heavy oats, presenting milky, murky character, quite light with some some mosaic fruit lurking underneath. Could do with being more prominent.
