Aroma: Smells exactly like beef jerky

Flavor: Smokey and sweet malts
Palate: Light with a crisp flavor, a smooth beer
Overall Impression: This beer was alright, but I found it hard to get over the beef jerky smell.

tap @ OTH Pours golden, thin white head. Aroma, wheat, light fruits, yeasty. Taste, light wheat, feels like pomegranate extract with a light fruit tartness. Light hops and some malts, finish is boring. Just weak and uninteresting beer.

12oz bottle. Pale filtered yellow with a foamy head that fades away. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of pungent fruit. I don’t really get pomegranate, just a nice vague fruity pungency. Some light bitter hops really help keep it crisp and drinkable. Ok.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, but then glows a remarkable purple red in the glass. It was almost difficult to get a head out of it but it did manage a 1 finger foam. I was afraid there for a second. Nose is nicely smoky with a background of caramel perhaps woody but maybe I’m trying too hard. Smooth and rounded with a thick melanoidin base, topped with a layer of smoky goodness. There is perhaps a touch of oak in the finish but it blends with the smoke to create a char tone that falls short of stout levels. There’s a vague fruitiness that becomes apparent as it warms slowly in the glass. Banana perhaps, and there was a good deal of pineapple in the second pour from the bottle. It starts to become rather markedly sweet, so keep this one on the cool side.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is some rich malts and an ever so slight dark fruit. Flavor is holy smoke! I did not know this was a smoked till I saw the listing on here. I had thought i had gotten the wrong beer at first. But still its a smoked and i’m not really a fan. If your going to make a dopple don’t doctor it up with some gimick.
