Can from Stori. Appearance - hazy yellow with a big lively head. Nose - lemon, lemon zest almost into sherbet. Taste - lemon zest again. Again, a hint of sherbet. Palate - light bodied and a touch thin. Fairly fresh on the finish. Overall - decent.

Can. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit zest, spearmint and melon rind. Flavour of lemon and pine. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I loved this - it’s bright, juicy and very refreshing.

Can from Hoptimism, drunk at home. Mid- to dark gold, slightly hazy with a thin film of white head. Aroma is very light: some stone fruit, apple, mint. Pronounced bitterness in the taste after a sweeter initial character. More green apple in the long finish. Heavy carbonation. Good enough but a bit too nondescript for a higher rate. It certainly did grow on me though.

Can from Stori. Appearance - bright but cloudy yellow. Fluffy head. Nose - apple, grape and possibly orange. Taste - more fruit salad but then a bit of a pickled onion note as it gets to about three quarters the way through. Mist be a hop resin derivative or something. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and tangy. Overall - shame about the pickled onion note. It promised much on the nose.

440ml can, online from Rad Beer. Pours hazed yellow golden with a white top. Aroma: soft, bread, crackers, lemon, saison yeast. Taste: light sweet, more bread & crackers, citrus hints, pepper spice, decent bash of saison funk. Light to medium body, pillowy carb, mellow finish. Tidy

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, a reasonable fine minerally carbonation. Somewhat thin malts that deliver a modicum of sweetness and no more. Local and Wai-Iti have a pithy edge here. Thin but bright mandarin and a touch of lime. Pine dominates both. A little esters. Light crisp finish. It has its moments but it needs a lot more hop intensity.

440ml can. Hazed bright yellow appearance, modest white froth atop. Good nose conjuring up grapefruit, leafy citrus. Crisp, fresh impressions quite light, balanced and easy-drinking - smashable I believe the term is - without losing fruity definition of flavour. Another great one from Wild Horse.

440ml can. Unclear golden amber, frothy white head. Aroma is floral, some mild stonefruit. Taste is nicely balanced with a nice mellow fruitiness, great pintworthy drinkability, moderate bitterness. Makes me want to decant 2 cans into a big glass to remind myself what drinking in a pub feels like. Really enjoyable, great hop combination.
