Light copper colour. Light caramel aroma. There’s a little diacetyl on the palate to go with the caramel. Fairly light body and a little bit fizzy. This misses on most points and is quite poor by Franconian standards.

Light cloudy straw colour. Rocky, falling head. Nice wheaty, citrusy aroma. Fresh and light with a strong wheaty signature. Some marshmallow malts and a quenching finish.

Gorgeous, ultra-bulbous glassware and rocky, thick head makes for a nice presentation. Herbal aroma. Mild bitterness, but a nice bready malt character. Drinks easy with very low carbonation. Finishes off-dry. Not hoppy enough but if you’re feeling like helles this might hit the spot.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Hoppy and zippy aroma. Starts very mild, keeps it till the end. The finish shows malty-dry notes, but only in the background. Too washy!

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild, prickly-dry in the background, a bit washy all the time. Fruity finish, like plum. Not too malty. Average!

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and wheat. The flavor is sweet with a slight acicidy underneath, and notes of malt, straw, and wheat, leading to a dry finish.

The bottle looks a bit simple for a festbier, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts sourish and dry, the finish is weeker, almost washy. Should be spicier. Not so good!
