Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Hazy deep amber - brown beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and light. Very fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, papery. Little tang. Artificial chocolate. Light dry finish. Bah!

Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2013, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130123]

Bottle at Chriso. It pours clear deep ruby with a thick light tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, toast, milk chocolate, candy, earth and lactose. The taste is toasty, earthy, milk chocolate, paper, peppery, citrus peel and not bad bitterness with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Not all too bad.

Bottle from Spirited Wine, Manchester. Golden with a thin head. This has a high hoppy, high fruity pale ale aroma. Fairly citric in its taste although a touch watery.

Cask @ Mill Hotel, Chester. Golden with a thin head. Malt-hop aroma with the latter aspect more prevalent. Nice session stuff.

Cask @ Mill Hotel, Chester. Dark brown with a thin head. Most of the chocolate and coffees are in its aroma with a mix of roast and sweet malt in the flavour.
