Cask @ Harlequin. Just a hint of tangerine in the aroma and flavor. Some flowery hops. Soft but not unpleasant with an earthy oily finish.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2019. A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is subdued, rustic bread, straw, damp hay, faint non descipt hop. Flavour is composed of semi crisp, dirty farmyard pale grains, straw, hay, bitter grassy hop. Harsh. Palate is grainy, ok condition. Fine.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2019. A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet basic malts, English yeast esters, midget gems. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, hedgerow hop, berries, orange rind, grainy, firm grassy hop bitterness. Paalte is semi sweet, low condition.

14/4/2018. Cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, biscuit, malt, fruit and flowers. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation.

Handpull cask at the Townhouse, Ely. Golden, clear and flat. Light citrus peel with a touch of ginger. Sweet taste, but the expected one-two spicy punch of the Sorachi Ace and ginger fails to land more than a glancing blow. Aftertaste is a bit bitter, even acrid. I dont tend to like ginger beers although Im always willing to give them a go. This one has quite a few issues unfortunately.

Handpull cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Somewhere between deep golden and tawny brown. Clear as a bell with very little head. Aroma is woody, grainy, hoppy, slightly astringent. Don’t know whether to drink it or polish my deck with it... I think I’ll drink it. Really bitter with effective use of bittering hops. Finish is fairly short but there’s a welcome lingering astringency on the tongue. As simple as you like, and a very traditional brew, but refreshing.

Rating from bottle collection/historic notes. Bottle, source not noted. Poured clear golden, with a white frothy head. Aroma fresh, nicely hopped, fruity. Light sweetness, medium bitterness. Light body. Dry bitter hoppy finish. Was pretty good.
