Cask@GBBF2009. Amber colour, not too much head. Aroma is nectar, sweet wood and also a bit burnt sugary notes. Flavour is quite malty, dry wooden as well as mildly grassy and floral hoppy.

Cask at GBBF 05-08-09 Pours dark gold/light amber with tiny bit of haze, probably chill haze as its quite cool, it has a small white head atop. This has got good body nice maltiness and a good stringy citric bitterness. There is a strange cheesiness on the nose, the bitterness in the mouth actually hangs about a bit, enjoyable. Golden with a small white head. Grassy hop aroma with fruity and grainy notes. Dry, fruity flavour, faultless, but rather plain.

Cask (gravity) @ The Harlequin, Sheffield, England. @ [ RBESG 09 ]Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, light caramel, moderate hoppy, lemon, apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090717]

RBESG Sheffield, day 2, Harlequin. Handpull. Clear golden, no head. Aroma is fruity, sweet lime. Flavour is fruity, light bitter, light grainy bitter finish. I guess these Golden ales and Bitters just didn’t do it for me...
