A simple sour beer. It is quite soir, with some character of oak and yeast. Sweet finish. very acidic.

750ml bottle. Drank May 2nd, 2020. Nice beige head, chalky brown-black body. Big, bold, well done. Vibrant champagne carbonation, fluffy mouthfeel. Sweet, but well attenuated. Everything seems pretty balanced and nice this year. Excellent Belgian Christmas Ale style beer. Gingerbread, chocolate, orange, caramel, nutmeg. Lots of depth.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Quinquagenary 2017 Vintage Ale on 27 Apr 2020 at 00:16. Original review text: Aged three years. Well carbonated and the pop when opening is promising. Overall aged well but perhaps too long. Sweet malt and characteristic unibroue yeast. Medium sweet, simple Beligaan strong flavors.

C&C 750 mL bottle thanks to hershiser2! The last beer from our last trade. :( Dark brown with a large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of spice, roast, nuts, candi sugar, plum, yeast, lime. Taste is dates, plum, bread, brown sugar, rye, cherry, yeast. Medium-full bodied, mild booze but not too present, spicy, prickly.

750ml - turbid gold with a thick white lace - cream and full carbonation in the mouth - lightly sweet, with some soft wheat notes and a mild tart acidity that compliments the notes of apple and white grape - finishes a little tart and lightly spicy - it’s actually quite good, and a steal at 6 bucks a bottle.

$12.99 corked bomber from TJ's Charlottesville. Pours black and thick with a dark brown head. Dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, barrel. Flavor is slightly sweet chocolate, dark roasted coffee, vanilla, barrel, roasted malt bordering char (but not quite there), bourbon. Really nice. If this was cheaper I'd stock up.

Bottle purchased from a local Trader Joe's. Poured a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, light grain. Some mild grassy hops. Clean, crisp. Easy to drink. Decent for what it's going for.
