Description
Hangar 24 began its craft brewing exploration with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends. My buddies and I used to meet at hangar No. 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport, after an afternoon of flying, to trade stories, talk aviation, play music and share a few cold ones that were recently home brewed. These days, the location of where the beers are brewed has changed, but the quality time spent enjoying a delicious, handcrafted beer and conversation with friends is the same as ever. I personally want to invite you to join the adventure. Cheers! Ben Cook.

Poured from a 750 ml, 2027 vintage bottle. Aroma is malt forward with caramel, toffee and raisin. Hints of cherry, fig and dates. Light alcohol spice with light oak. Hints of bourbon and a bit more.brandy. Pours brown with some toffee/caramel hues and a small tan head that recedes to the edges where it lingers. No lacing and moderate length legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of caramel, toffee and toasted bread. Some raisin, cherry, fig and date notes. Medium brandy and light bourbon notes with faint oak. Light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer. Very malt forward with some raisin and fruit notes. Some nice fruit notes.

22oz bomber, labelled Orange Wedge Double IPA, pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a variety of citrus with orange, grapefruit and flowery orange tree. The taste delivers a decent load of grapefruit like bitterness and then a nearly equal level of juicy orange and mildly blood orange flavors. It becomes more grapefruit juice like toward the finish but the juicy citrus does hang on into the after taste. Pretty nice.

Hazy pale golden colour, small fizzy white head, dissipating quickly. Aroma orange, Fanta, lemon, hint of ginger, some yeast. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, wheat, lemon, orange peel. Light sweetbitter aftertaste, light peppery notes, light body. watery texture, soft carbonation. Overall a rather thin beer but refreshing and easy to drink.

750 c&c from Bine & Vinej. Pours hazy orange/gold with a very transient white head. Aroma of sourish, winey apricots. Med body. Flavor is very tart/sour and very apricot. A bit of wood. For some strange reason it matches well with spicy summer sausage.

650 ml bottle, spilt 4 ways. Thank you HuskerTan for the gifted bottle! Almost clear brown color, fast dying head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, vanilla beans. Flavor is spot on the flavor. I get a lot of caramel candy, light vanilla center, and a lasting Tootsie Roll finish. Sweet but nice.
