Description
Hangar 24 began its craft brewing exploration with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends. My buddies and I used to meet at hangar No. 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport, after an afternoon of flying, to trade stories, talk aviation, play music and share a few cold ones that were recently home brewed. These days, the location of where the beers are brewed has changed, but the quality time spent enjoying a delicious, handcrafted beer and conversation with friends is the same as ever. I personally want to invite you to join the adventure. Cheers! Ben Cook.

750 ml caged and corked bottle shared. 2016 vintage. Clear dark amber brown with beige head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, floral, oak. Tastes of caramel, toffee, floral, oak. Medium body with a dry finish. Barrel character pretty subdued, maybe faded from age.

Hanger 24 Barrel Roll no.3: Pugachev Cobra 2015 14% Bottle through a trade with @beercation. Even with a few years on this, the nose is still fairly sharp with malty maple notes and lots of bourbon. Full bodied and velvety smooth. The taste is bourbon, maple syrup, nutty and some oak. Lots of warming heat in the pit of my stomach. Good stuff, quite well balanced and easy r was one of our tasters’ favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from Park Plaza Liqour & Deli, Prescott, AZ. A hazy amber pour with a ring of white head; bready in the mouth with some acidic fruit; and a citrusy finish with perhaps a touch of orange peel. Unexciting.

Bottle [from trade with mista, thanks!] @ home. Last beer of 2017 to finish on 16861. Opaque pitch black color, small to average sized dark broen colored head that disappears almost instantly. Aroma hits me from a mile away: insane, huge dark chocolate and huge heavy bourbon aroma. Taste malts, roasted malts, bourbon, brandy / apple brandy, alcohol quite heavily, dark chocolate less dominant but still noticeably there and definitely some vanilla as well. Heavy beer, thinner body than you'd expect up front but with the heavy barrel aging the beers has undergone I guess it's not that surprising after all, carbonation is medium. Good beer, lovely beer, but you gotta like heavy barrel aging or you're gonna hate this one. I like it, but it's too heavy to really love imo. 9-4-8-4-15.

16 oz draft pour into a plastic cup on 29th Dec 2017 while inside San Diego Safari Park. Love the fact they have taps and animals, even advertising 'Beer Tastings'. Small bottle selection too. Anyway this is a misty looking Blonde, light golden bodied, wispy white top. Citrus notes rule the nose and taste, refreshing and thirst quenching, just what is required after walking miles looking at Tigers and Lions, etc, etc.

750 c&c shared by Marcus. Pours a tinged gold with a slight/transient white head. Aroma of acidic/slightly musty grapes. Or maybe it’s musty wood. Med body. Flavor is woody/slightly spicy/tropical/sourish/grapes. The sour is mild and pleasant. Light burn in the mouth. Goes excellently with Cow Girl Red Hawk cheese.
