Description
Hangar 24 began its craft brewing exploration with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends. My buddies and I used to meet at hangar No. 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport, after an afternoon of flying, to trade stories, talk aviation, play music and share a few cold ones that were recently home brewed. These days, the location of where the beers are brewed has changed, but the quality time spent enjoying a delicious, handcrafted beer and conversation with friends is the same as ever. I personally want to invite you to join the adventure. Cheers! Ben Cook.

Bottle from Hi Time. Pours bright amber with a foamy beige head. Aromas of light roast malt and resin. Med body. Seems to start with a touch of diacetyl. Then mild roast malt and some hop that seems resin. Something is coating my tongue a bit. Finishes just slightly on the bitter side. An ok APA.

1 liter growler thanks to Tim, pours hazy reddish orange with a medium off white head......excellent lacing. Aroma is wonderful. Light citrus, dank grass and pine. Very earthy. Flavor is rich toasted malts and bitter pine nuts with a nice big grass and pine hop profile that dry the mouth out in the finish with notes of citrus peel coming forward. Very nice IPA.

1 liter growler thanks to Tim, pours caramel with a medium tan head. Aroma is caramel malt, some toffee, very nutty with corn and grassy hops. Flavor is rich caramel malt, creamy grass and hay with a toffee and grass finish that lingers for a bit. The carbonation is spot on, highly drinkable with just enough going on to make it interesting.

1 liter bottle thanks to Tim, rating this on my new phone to test the features out, technology is amazing! Pours fairly dark almost caramel with a medium light tan head. Aroma is wonderful. Pine and dank hops mix with toast and nutty malts. Flavor is well balanced bread and rich toasted malts and some huge pine and earthen hops throughout ending dry. Only a slight alcohol presence on the trailing end. I love it!

Goblet pour @ Blue Palms on the Monday after their 2nd anniversary party. Had no idea what I was going to get out of this beer but the name was intriguing enough and I had never heard of the brewery before. Color is hazy golden and the beer has a sticky lacing. Aroma is alcohol barrel, very sweet on residual sugars, and sticky smelling (sweetness again). Flavor is sweet alcohol with lots of sweet Belgian characteristics. Not at all a bade beer but a bit sweet and alcoholic for me. I could feel the alcohol evaporating off my tongue, which actually created an interesting taste sensation and mouthfeel.
