Description
Hangar 24 began its craft brewing exploration with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends. My buddies and I used to meet at hangar No. 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport, after an afternoon of flying, to trade stories, talk aviation, play music and share a few cold ones that were recently home brewed. These days, the location of where the beers are brewed has changed, but the quality time spent enjoying a delicious, handcrafted beer and conversation with friends is the same as ever. I personally want to invite you to join the adventure. Cheers! Ben Cook.

Slightly cloudy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a very thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit and slightly piney hops, some light acidic notes and a touch of malt. Light-bodied; Sharp hop pellet flavour with a kick of citrus and lemons in particular. Aftertaste is pretty mild with a hint of the hops, a decent amount of the citrus and only a smudge of the funky malt flavour. Overall, not such a great beer - a few decent flavours, but nothing complex or inspirational. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Olive Tree Market Place in San Diego, California on 01-May-2012 for US$1.89 sampled at home in Washington on 07-July-2012.

Courtesy of Dak. It pours copper to gold with off white head. The aroma offers up pine hops mixing with peach fuzz and rolling into smooth bourbon and a whiff of oak wood. The taste has bitter pine hops running quickly into firm bourbon notes, some sweet vanilla and then some booze. This beer has pretty forward barrel notes but a brief yet pleasing amount of base beer to be experienced. I would love to try a version of this with less barrel time and more beer notes.
